Scotty Anderson

Biography

Hailed by Guitar One magazine in 2001 as one of America's 10 Best Unknown Guitarists, Cincinnati guitarist Scotty Anderson is one scary picker. Borrowing the best from childhood idols Jerry Reed and Chet Atkins as well as the big band jazz he enjoys so much, Anderson is the most astounding country-jazz fusioneer since Danny Gatton. Indeed, his unbelievable double-stop technique has left more than a few jaws hanging at his clinics and concerts. Anderson has recorded three CDs to date, two of which are available through J Curve Records. In addition to recording, Anderson has worked as a Yamaha clinician, taught at the National Guitar Workshop, performed for the Chet Atkins Appreciation Society in Paris and the Massachusetts Folk Festival in Boston, and opened for the Doobie Brothers.
